Whether you are launching your own scrubber brand or scaling up an existing programme, ALTON runs a transparent, milestone-based OEM / ODM process. Below is the workflow, MOQ ranges and the hard limits on what we can and cannot customise.
How an OEM Project Runs
Six Milestones
A typical OEM / ODM project takes 35 – 75 days from signed spec sheet to first container — depending on moulding, battery sourcing and documentation workload.
Brief & Spec
Buyer sends target market, expected price band, quantity per model and any custom features. We return a one-page spec sheet within 24 hours.
Quotation
Detailed quotation with FOB price per unit, tooling (if any), lead time and tooling amortisation options. Valid for 30 days.
Sample
Sample unit shipped (paid) for buyer evaluation within 7 working days after PO confirmation. Sample fee is rebated on the first production PO.
Tooling & Print
Logo film, colour match (Pantone / RAL), nameplate layout and packaging artwork finalised. Production tooling (e.g. custom moulds) opened in parallel if needed.
Pre-Production
1–3 pre-production units built, photos sent, buyer signs off on appearance and key function.
Mass Production
Mass production under the signed-off BOM. Buyer receives weekly photo / video QC updates. Container loaded FOB Shanghai within 25–40 days of PP sign-off.

Minimum order quantities below allow mixed-model containers — combine walk-behind and ride-on SKUs in one 20'GP if total reaches 10 units.

What We Can — and Cannot — Change
What We Can and Cannot Customise
OEM flexibility is bounded by physics, certification scope and tooling investment. The lists below reflect what our own scrubber-dryer manufacturing experience has shown to be commercially viable.
- Battery: lead-acid 12V/100Ah, AGM, lithium (LiFePO4) — supplier and chemistry interchangeable on existing models.
- Brush motor and vacuum motor brand (e.g. Ametek, Lamb) within our tested supplier list.
- Tank capacity adjustment within the existing chassis mould (±10 % of original spec).
- Custom colour (Pantone / RAL matched, ΔE ≤ 2.0) on body panels and squeegee.
- Private label: logo film, nameplate, user manual, packaging artwork — all in-house.
- Documentation language: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German available in print-ready PDF.
- Spare-parts kit tuned to your SKU codes (cross-reference list provided).
- Completely new machine geometry / chassis mould (USD 60,000–120,000 tooling, 90–120 day lead time).
- Battery pack voltages outside 12V / 24V / 36V / 48V (new BMS engineering required).
- Brush deck widths outside 330 / 380 / 460 / 510 / 560 / 660 / 850 mm (new deck mould required).
- Functional modifications that touch CE / UKCA Machinery Directive safety circuits (e.g. removing the dead-man switch).
- Re-branding of a competitor's existing product (we only OEM / ODM machines we manufacture).
Packing & Nameplate

Every shipment leaves the factory on a foam-lined plywood crate (FOB Shanghai) — sea-freight proven on 40+ country routes. Nameplate, user manual and packaging artwork are produced in-house so your buyers never see a third-party brand.
